A SWEET SURPRISE! I was craving a vegan dessert option and I was happy to find Sweet Things on Yelp! It's nestled on the right hand side of the Hilton San Diego Bayfront neighboring the San Diego Convention Center. I saw the wonderful reviews and had to try it. It's absolutely AMAZING! I got the birthday cake fro-yo with yogurt chips, rainbow sprinkles and caramel drizzle as my toppings. OMG it was heaven on earth, the fro-yo was the perfect texture and the guy who added my toppings was very generous! He gave me my money's worth and for that he's my favorite fro-yo employee EVER. Everything was great, Sweet Things is not self-serve, they covered up the old fro-yo machine stations and now everything is ordered at the register. The staff served the fro-yo quickly and brought it out in a flash. The prices are fair here and you get great portions! Sweet Things also serves Dole Whip and non-vegan fro-yo. I'm definitely going to return so I can try ALL of their flavors! I'm a fan, and you will be too! The ambiance is amazing. There's plenty of seating both in and outside. It was a really mellow environment. If you’re staying at the Hilton this place is literally attached to the hotel, I saw many guests visiting!
All I can say is wow! My shake was amazing . It was created by Joe the artist. The atmosphere and service was head above shoulders, anything that I've experienced here in San Diego. The energy is amazing. I ordered a banana split protein shake and the flavors were off the chart. I'll definitely be back and would highly recommend a quick reprieve from the hustle bustle.
Very cute and clean and definitely a convenient option if you don’t want to be in the center of downtown. Not too far of a drive either! Great customer service and great prices and yummy treats. Definitely will make this a desert pit stop once I move to the area.
Right on the waterfront in the Hilton and I’m coming back! Açaí bowls, smoothies, shakes, ice cream they’ve got it all. I had a delicious smoothie! The owner is incredibly kind and sweet (play on words lol). Recommend coming here if you’re craving a sweet :)
I was in here today. Just happened upon it. YUM! I had about 6 different flavour including watermelon sorbet and cake batter and red velvet, but the BEST one was the horchata! It was super delicious! I could have just had that one. The whole experience was excellent. I could live on that stuff! Loads of add ons, sprinkles, syrups, fruit, candies, super yum. Go here!
I had a fantastic experience at Sweet Things this morning! The gentleman with glasses (5/7 around 9:00 AM) was exceptionally welcoming and friendly. I came in after grabbing a Starbucks, and he made me feel right at home, answering my questions and making great conversation while I waited. The acai bowl with added Nutella was delicious, with perfect portions. Pricing is great. Paid 15 for my delicious breakfast and truthfully, I would've paid more! Fruit was fresh, acai was the perfect consistency. I only wish I had gotten his name to personally commend him to his managers. Excellent service and a wonderful atmosphere – thank you for making my morning! I'll definitely be coming back soon.
I always come here and only just now writing a review. Minus the strike that currently witch i am in support of. I highly recommend that you come here for good chill music and super awesome staff.
Great product and service. I had 3 smoothies and all were perfect. Service was fast all ingredients were fresh. The price was amazing for the sizes. Will def recommend it.
